Swansea Railway Modellers Group will be opening its doors to the public since 2020, with a full takeover of the Gordon Moore Centre, home to SRMG and Friends of the Young Disabled. September 18th, 10:00am-4:00pm.

SRMG are pleased to be hosting the OO9 Societies' South and West Wales area group next meetup.

Our Test Tracks will be available (6 x 009/N, 8 x OO, 1 x O, all operate DC/DCC) as well as couple of OO9 micro layouts so please feel free to bring models to run. If anyone wishes to bring their own micro layout/diorama you are more than welcome, however please contact us first, just so we can ensure that we can accommodate you.

Refreshments will be available as well as a small bring and buy stock sale from members.

We will be holding a stock sale during our Open day on the 18th September. This will be open to all-comers but, to give club members an earlier opportunity to purchase, a small sale of mixed OO and N gauge stock will take place on Thursday the 14th. July at 7.30pm. The mini-sale will be held, as before, in the small room adjacent to ‘Pennard Halt’ on the first floor.

This superb DCC model is now up-and-running and ready for use by club members. As noted before however, there are some small complexities to the set-up and, consequently, those who wish to run stock on the system will first need to attend a brief induction session to understand what is and is not possible. The first of these sessions will take place on the 14th. July from around 7.30pm, the same time as our stock sale.

The dinner is free to members and £16.25 (half price) to partners, wives, children) etc. You may bring one person for each membership you hold.

The dinner is again free to all those who have paid subscription fees for November, December and January or longer.

The complimentary meal refers to food but not drinks although tea / coffee are included.

The committee may decide to invite some guests.

There is likely to be a lady’s and a gent’s raffle prize per table.
